Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived Athena, the Greek goddess of Wisdom and her husband Fredrick Chase, a mortal and a wealthy history professor who lived together in a beautiful mansion with their little daughter called Annabeth.
Although unlike her mother, she had everything her heart desired, Annabeth was spoiled and selfish.
One winter's night at the party an beggar man asked Annabeth for shelter from the bitter cold. In return he offered her a rose. Repulsed by the old man, the unkind little rich girl turned him away.
The man warned her not to be deceived by his appearances, since beauty is found within. But when Annabeth dismissed him again, the old man's ugliness melted away to reveal the handsome Poseidon, the Greek god of the Sea.
